Teaching Values

As a PYP homeroom teacher, I design and deliver inclusive, transdisciplinary learning experiences that foster multilingualism and empower students to thrive as confident, capable learners. I plan with intentionality, respecting each student’s unique abilities, cultural background, and learning needs, while applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure equitable access to knowledge.

My practice emphasizes meaningful assessment—particularly assessment for and as learning—using formative feedback, student reflection, and goal setting to support learner agency and continuous growth. Through transdisciplinary inquiry, I support students in developing conceptual understanding by exploring ideas through multiple perspectives and modes of expression. I actively encourage student voice by creating opportunities for learners to present, share, and celebrate their thinking with varied audiences, nurturing their confidence as leaders and changemakers.

Collaboration is central to my work. As a Grade Level Learning Leader and an engaged member of the school community, I work closely with colleagues to strengthen curriculum alignment, inclusive practices, and reflective teaching, contributing to a culture of shared professional learning and collective responsibility.

As a leader, I contribute to the growth and success of the school by working beyond my classroom to strengthen inclusive practices, professional collaboration, and shared vision. Through my roles as a Grade Level Learning Leader and Primary DEIJB Coordinator, I support colleagues in reflective practice, curriculum alignment, and the implementation of equitable, student-centered approaches. I actively collaborate with educators, leadership teams, and the wider school community to ensure policies and initiatives meaningfully impact teaching and learning. By fostering trust, dialogue, and collective responsibility, I help build a learning culture where both students and educators feel empowered to grow and lead.
